Beware of Techo

Choose your partners wisely. In 30 years of business, partnering with Techo was the worst marketing decision I have ever made. It was a complete disaster, and instead of trying to fix their marketing failure, all I got was sued.

Techo misled me on the only feature I wanted showcased, Image Mapping. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere.  (see Insta links below)

Techo misled me on what to expect from sales.  Unilock ordered 600 U-Levels when I kicked off with them. Unilock is a top-notch company. The true industry leader! Alex assured me 500 sales was no issue, and he stated he expected we could double that number.

After I discussed that this wasn’t working, instead of helping, Alex stopped me from showing Image Mapping or anything at KOP

Techo has a significant social media. I never saw Smart Level mentioned one time. No social media whatsoever. Techo pushed hard for me to go “full in,” as Alex phrased it. Techo did not go “full in”. Techo was radio-silent regarding Smart Level

Techo boasts of being the premier marketing guru of hardscape. This more closely resembled a con game than a partnership.

Techo charged $88K, I sold 21 levels. That’s $4218 cost to sell a $995 retail unit. This was a ridiculously negative ROI from a company that prides itself on being the industry guru on marketing and teaching how to run a business. I had to lay my entire sales crew off after this Techo fiasco. The sales from this didn’t even pay my traveling expenses. This devastated my business, and Techo didn’t care. They made no effort to fix this. 

Techo has done this to many others in the industry who have been too intimidated to speak out. They are a lawyer happy industry bully.

The legal system in this country does not work for the common person. It has become an instrument of power and manipulation for those well-versed in working it to their advantage. I first fought this in family court, which is basically the “opinions” of those in charge in place of law. “Lawfare” has been practiced in family court for decades, long before that term became popular as of late. I ran for state senate in KY in 2010 with legal reform at the heart of my campaign. I was separated from my own kids simply because I ran out of money to fight. The opposing counsel had stated how long I could fight, and from my financial statements, estimated very accurately when they would drain me, and I would simply lose because I no longer had the resources to fight. Lawfare attrition is a very successful tool in the manipulation of the legal system. This is exactly what happened to me with Techo.

I am once again separated from family by the godless lawyers of this system. This time, my grandsons. And the week before Christmas, the day before I buried a very loved family pet, I was served papers by Techo’s godless lawyers. This is absolutely disgusting!
